Mentor Training – FLTC 204

August 16, 2018
8:30 am - 10:00 am
FLTC 213

As postdocs, you are in a unique position where you are navigating a more complex relationship with your mentor(s) and providing guidance to mentees in your labs. This program uses a curriculum that reflects this dual role available from the University of Wisconsin Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research. It is effective in improving your relationship with both mentors and mentees.

Each mentorship training session lasts 1.5 hours and will meet August 14, 15, 17 in Becker Library and August 16, 2018 in FLTC 204 from 8:30-10:00 am. It is highly recommended that you attend all 4 sessions in order to receive a completion certificate. The interactive format consists of learning mentoring skills through case studies in small and large group discussions. Each session is led by a facilitator who has completed the National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) implementation training.
