Speaker: Daniel Marenda, PhD
Dr. Marenda is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Drexel University. He is currently serving as a Program Director at the National Science Foundation in the Directorate for Biological Sciences, the Division of Biological Infrastructure where he is responsible for overseeing and managing the Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Biology portfolio, and sits on the National Science Foundation Research Traineeship (NRT) Steering Committee. Dr. Marenda is a trained neurobiologist who has been working with Drosophila as a model organism for 20 years. His research program is focused on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms that control neural development, plasticity, and behavior.
