National Postdoctoral Association

The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) is a member-driven organization that provides a unique, national voice for postdoctoral scholars. The mission of the NPA is to advance the U.S. research enterprise by maximizing the effectiveness of the research community and enhancing the quality of the postdoctoral experience for all participants.

Washington University in St. Louis is a sustaining member of the NPA. Postdoctoral appointees at WU may join the NPA for free as an affiliate, non-voting member by registering using their email address.

The NPA also hosts an Annual Conference every spring and travel awards are available. The OPA and WUPS regularly participate in the annual conference to share ideas and learn about best practices to support WashU postdocs.

Washington University in St. Louis was proud to host the 2014 National Postdoctoral Association April 4-6, 2014 at the WU School of Medicine Campus.
