Pathways to Advanced Scientific Skills through Postdoctoral Research Training (PASSPoRT)
Thank you for your interest in participating in PASSPoRT to WashU on October 13!
Prospective postdocs will participate in this two-day virtual event. The first day (October 12) will offer information on what it means to be a postdoc at WashU and how to get the most out of a postdoctoral experience. The second day (October 13) is reserved for informational conversations with participating faculty members looking to hire new talent.
PASSPoRT to WashU is open to advanced PhD students (post-qualifying exams), recent PhD graduates, and early-career postdocs. There is no citizenship requirement.
How can a WashU faculty member participate?
If you’re interested in participating in the event, please fill out the Faculty Interest Form. You will be asked to select the times you will be able to meet with prospective postdocs on Friday, October 13, between 10am and 7pm CT.
Complete this form no later than July 1, 2023 at 12pm/noon CT.
What information should I provide in the interest form?
What you need to complete the form:
- Links to your personal or lab social media or websites
- A brief description of your research (100 word max)
- Three (3) key words for your research to help guide prospective postdocs to your profile
- Link to your Mentoring Statement
- Outcomes for past postdoctoral trainees (if applicable)
- Availability on October 13, any time between 10am-7pm CT
Remember: The Faculty Interest Form will be available until July 1, 2023 at 12pm/noon CT.
How will I get the chance to meet prospective postdocs?
We will create a profile using your responses on the PASSPoRT to WashU website for prospective postdocs to view. Based on your profile, prospective postdoc applicants will be able to select up to three (3) faculty members they would like to connect with for an informational conversation. Our office will match prospective postdocs with their faculty of interest based on the availability you provide in the interest form.
Remember: The Faculty Interest Form will be available until July 1, 2023 at 12pm/noon CT.
