We can help students and mentees meet our high standards and engage in complex learning by creating classroom and mentorship environments that promote student well-being. As part of WashU’s efforts in this area, the Center for Teaching & Learning and Habif Health & Wellness have developed a guidebook for those in instructional roles called Promoting Student Well-Being in Learning Environments. This workshop will demonstrate how to put the principles of the guidebook into action, how to recognize students in distress, respond via different modes of communication, and refer students to appropriate resources.
