The first-annual OPA Awards and Recognition Ceremony is an exciting event designed to celebrate the accomplishments of WashU postdoctoral appointees and to recognize those who mentor, serve, and advocate for them.

During the ceremony the following award recipients will be announced: Outstanding Postdoc Mentor Award and Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award. In addition, the OPA will announce the inaugural recipients of two new awards: OPA Director’s Distinguished Leadership Award and OPA Director’s Distinguished Advocacy and Service Award.

Previously announced recipients of the following awards will also be recognized during the ceremony: Maya Angelou Award for Postdoctoral Excellence in Leadership, Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society Postdoctoral Inductees, 2024 W. M. Keck Fellowship in Biomedical Research, and the National Postdoctoral Association Postdoc of the Year Award.
