The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs can issue letters verifying your postdoctoral appointment upon request. Verification letters are sent via email. We cannot provide certified or sealed letters.
Request an Appointment Verification Letter
IMPORTANT: The OPA can only confirm postdoctoral time from 2004 and onward. If you need verification from previous years, please contact HR.
The verification letter will indicate your start and end date, your department, and your faculty supervisor’s full name and title/rank. Be ready to provide that information. Letters are addressed to “To Whom it May Concern.”
Please be advised that the OPA will only attest for the information we can verify, even if it is different from the one you provided on the form.
Expect five business days for the OPA to verify the information and send a verification letter. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at email@example.com.
